November, December, January News
The two one-act plays I did for WEST FEST 2015 were a big success! Since it was a Festival, the plays only ran one weekend, but it was so gratifying. The roles I got to play were complex, and each woman was very different from the other. The first one was a single-woman who faced a recurrence of cancer, so decided to finally pursue a life-long dream of learning to play the ‘fiddle.’ The other was a mother of a teenage son who is accidentally killed when his father, her husband, mistakes the boy for a burglar. Both powerful and wonderful plays. On the last day, we received a partial, but enthusiastic, Standing Ovation. (And I now know how to play “Mary Had A Little Lamb” on the violin!)
Soon after the Festival, I was approached by CHARLIE MOUNT, a long-time member of THEATRE WEST, who is a terrifically talented actor/writer/director, to join the cast of his upcoming WRITERS-IN-REP production of THE LEATHER APRON CLUB. It will open at THEATRE WEST on April 22, 2016 and I will play a presidential candidate. The play is a suspense/thriller filled with political intrigue, and of course (if you know Charlie), some wicked humor. Rehearsals are underway and I’ll keep you posted.
On January 5th, I worked b.g. on a new tv show that hasn’t aired yet called HEART BREAKERS. I played one of several doctors rushing around the hospital (check out my Photo Gallery). In a second scene, you might actually get to see me. I’m at a Gala, sitting in a red formal dress, applauding for a doctor as she approaches the podium for an award.
That’s all for now folks!
Wishing you all a Happy, Healthy & Successful 2016!!
