June 1st – Looking Back at May...

Overall, I’d say May was a very good month! I had several fun auditions and...

I booked and shot an episode of DEAD SILENT, a murder re-enactment show that’s in its 7th season. The scenes required strong emotion and the director liked my work enough to actually expanded my scenes a bit. I don’t have the air date yet, but when I do, I will post it here.

I was also cast in and shot two lovely scenes in ONLY EASY DAY, a beautiful film directed by my dear friend TIM REISCHAUER and starring BRETT JONES, an extremely talented man who also wrote the project. It is shooting in Alabama and it was one of the best and most-gratifying experiences I’ve had as an actor so far. The film shines a light on homeless veterans with PTSD and Brett has created something very, very special. I can’t wait for its release in November.

And finally, I booked a featured bit in a music video, but on the day of the shoot, there was confusion between casting and production as to my role. I was not on the call sheet for the part promised and I could have stayed to do featured b.g., but opted not to. Disappointing, but that’s show biz!

IN OTHER NEWS:

My husband DAVID R. GEORGE III was a Guest of Honor at TREKLANTA, a fan-run STAR TREK Mini-Con. It was intimate compared to the big conventions, but several hundred people attended and David had a great time. He spoke on a panel, had his own Q&A, and conducted a Writing Seminar. I’m so proud of him. He is great with his fans and it was nice to see them so excited to meet him.

David and I have decided to stay in Atlanta for the foreseeable future and are now looking for a condo to buy. Our lease is up in September, so we are hoping to have something locked in by August. David will be taking a trip to LA soon to make arrangements for our possessions to be picked up from storage and brought across country. I never would have thought that we’d be living in the deep south, but Atlanta is a very welcoming and progressive city and we love it.
